Orchard should manage claims and be itself an ID repository, maybe adopting OAuth2 as its internal natural users ID management.
Some modules exist but they are old or not ideally integrated with internal user management.
Moreover, Orchard should be able to keep the information that this user id is related from this source of ID.

In the same way that Modules can specify dependencies, Themes should be able to as well. That way any theme which uses Module specific code can just work out of the box and gives a configurable way to 'auto-enable' Modules

The most difficult part of starting with Orchard is understanding Clay and being able to debug variables that are dynamic via Clay. Is there a way to develop a VS extension to assist with this?

For modules, it would be great if we could have a setting to define enabled/disabled for debug/release, which should ease deployment issues greatly and improve performance. Modules would ideally come with a recommended default. For example, Shape Tracing would have release always set to false.

Mind map of relationships between queries, projections, etc in admin. Should have a check-list-box of Part/ContentType/etc that will show/hide those items on the mind map. Should be clear what items are orphans. Of course caveat will be those items that are referenced only in custom code. e.g. select Query & Projection and should be able to see query & projection mind-map "boxes" with connectors between those that are referencing the other. Query box could also show count or red outline if an exception occurred. Just a start that could see a lot of potential down the road

i think it would be much easier to work with the content items displayed in a treeview. This way the navigation is also setup and you don't see one big list of content. For localization: a dropdown of the culture and the treeview shows the content items for the selected culture.
Sorting could be done by drag and drop in the treeview. By doing this a sitemap could easily be created also.

Currently it seems there are issues creating modules in VB due to Claysharp. Prevents me (and maybe others too?) from committing to Orchard.

Add support for NoSQL solutions (specifically MongoDB which can be deployed on Azure and AWS).

Easy Api to develop modules quickly without going to code generation and so on.......
stuff like that.
